How did you add or download the HK video on demand. I couldn't locate the app, but I saw it on your review. Can you point out where I can add this app. The link below is the image of the app that you posted. Thanks

Just bought this item. I live in Montreal. Like Padman said, the amount of content is truly amazing. The Cantonese live channels are plentiful, and the picture quality kills the TVPad2 by miles. The TVB dramas are there; some work and some don't. Those that do work take a while to load and somewhat lags (had to wait a good 5-6minutes). Another drawback is the time shift like Padman said. The community is also non existant, I have yet to find an English forum dedicated to Unblock box, hopefully we can get it started on here?
So far it is a very good unit. Wifi is extremely strong, very good picture quality, large amount of content. My mom couldn't have gotten a better Christmas gift, she is so happy.
Is it possible for you to try get the UBUB市場 app out and install it on any other Android devices or TVPad4 to see if it work? The live channels really kick ass and I'm so tempted to buy it after I saw it has a full page of 有線電視channels. I downloaded the UBTV apk, look like they do MAC check.
It really depends how you think of this as an investment.
If you put it this way.
The UB box is roughly $120, if you think of it as a monthly subscription @ $10 per month. You basically made the money back after 1 year.
At this point I don't think UB is being targeted by the Koreans/Dish within the next year.
As for this reason, I'm not particular mad with TVPad. Although I won't be supporting any further TVPad products.
I bought my first TVPad in 2011, then another one in probably 2012. If I use the same mindset, I already got my money's worth and more from the old TVPads. With the new TVPad4's I just got last month, I'll see if that'll last that long ....

It may be true that UB is not being targeted by the Koreans/Dish currently, but they are actually being targeted by TVB Hong Kong.
Don't waste your money. I won't be surprised if they get shut down by the HK Government soon.
This is the official documents that TVB HK sent to the HKSAR Government and the Legislative Council earlier this year.
If you can read Chinese, go to page 5-9 and see that product they are talking about. It looks familiar, right?
The Copyright Amendment Bill is expected to pass the Legislative Council in the next few weeks, then the HKSAR Government will have the right to shut down all illegal streams.
I'm going to switch over from TVPad to UBox shortly. In doing so notice a rooted version selling price is slightly higher. Can anyone please share the advantages of a rooted UBox? One advantage of a rooted Ubox is the operating system can be completely backup into a SD card. Is it worthy to explore the rooting route in your experiences? Please advise. Thank you!
UB box i do't know it too much, but have bought one HTV 3 recently from their company website,
i really i have to say i love it so much,X(
it saves me from TVPAD's shit problem,my mom was sooooooooo anxious when TVPAD not working:X
now she can follows her favorite TVB dramas again haha!!! Which is even good is the english channels and sports channels for my husband!:)-D
Just got it today, from my HUMBLE opinion, it's 10 times better than TVPAD4.
More contents, more faster to load, Padman mention in one app which has the TVB color logo but no name, that is useless.
You only need the " UBTV及UB回看APP ", that cover everything, plus you can install whatever other apps u like.
Trust me , get yourself one for New Year gift, you deserve it.
Happy new year everybody.
How do you watch whole TVB dramas? ?? only have few days.

Download VChannel from Google Play inside the box. Add channels into VChannel. Then you can watch TVB dramas. There is a mouse button in the remote which you can use it to fast forward.

If this UB box can work in France, like the TVPAD1, I would be interested to join the bulk/group order , please keep me posted as well.
My mon is interested in Chinese channels, VOD, dramas.
Thanks so much for your help.
MERRY CHRISTMAS !

Ship from china or HK is cheaper, but if you want faster, buy from the US seller for 129.00 including free shipping

With mine, I can see some blurred pink lines in the background
Ok with the other resolution like 1080/60 hz
