Anybody in East Coast U.S. (especially NYC) can get M121S up and running without VPN?
If so, which DNS address did you use?
Any help is appreciated.

No, most if not all known DNS's have been blocked in the US.

Even if someone provided you with a DNS. Your TVPad M121S still wouldn't work as it can't pass auth test which result in "NO GREEN MAN".

    Thanks all for quick response.

I just want to confirm that my M121S is having authentication issue as mentioned by other folks here.
I am actually in the process of setting up a VPN router to get this device back on line, but just wanted to do less if there is a quicker alternative.

I believe another option is to downgrade to firmware 2.72. Does anyone have firmware 2.72? If so please upload. Thanks

You don't need to setup a vpn. Just try the paid dns server, it should work for you.

Well Padman, I already bought VPNUnlimited lifetime package and spent $10 on a Linksys DIR-615 before the paid DNS server became a reality.
I might as well flash the router with DD-WRT, and hook the router to the TVPad1 and see what happens.

Question: would the 49.x DNS still work if I hook TVPad1 to a VPN router (assuming everything is correctly set up)
    Thanks.
