    Hi, Padman

I watched all of your tutorials and I am still not getting something right. Here are the steps I followed:

1.)bought 2nd router and changed its IP in configuration to be different from primary router. 192.168.2.1 also made sure primary is set for DOHC.
2.)bought lifetime service from VPN unlimited; emailed support for L2TP settings, got user name and password.
3.) 2nd router configuration set to L2TP, put user name and password.... connecting.... still connecting... nothing. Tried everything.

Can you please let me know if I'm missing something?
    Thank you in advance.

There's definitely some additional settings you have to make on your first router. I'm finding this out myself as I've setup the 2nd router exactly as everyone described.

The tell tail sign is that 2nd router doesn't have Internet.

I'm gonna tinker and see if I can figure out what we have to change on the first router.

Hi.anyone know how to fix VPN auto disconnection after connect about a minute? It just connected like one minute then it disconnected from server. Anyone know what's wrong? I am using Linksys ea4500 with L2TP conection.once I connected to Canada server. And I checked my IP location it shows my IP from Canada then after one minute it auto disconnected from server.

    Padman,

I got it working. I revisited your initial post and noticed at the end that you said you only used your email address that you registered with VPNUnlimited with. I went back and changed my login and noticed that my email address that was appended to the long account name that they had emailed me was missing from the :xxxxx@xxx. So I deleted the entire login name and only entered my email address. It took a few seconds before the Connecting... became Connected. I have my TVPad m121s/3.26 up now. I'll start checking to see which programs are working now.

I tried leaving my connection to automatically, but that doesn't seem to work, so I set it back to manual and used the DNS 49.

    Thanks for the help...

Thanks to Padman, we were able to get our TVPad 2 back live again in the San Francisco Bay Area. We went to Fry's and bought a D-Link router for $29.99, and paid $17.x for VPN Unlimited for 3 yrs' subscription. Make sure to use N+ Store to download the latest ???? or else it won't work.

    Hi Skywrx02,

Thanks for the tip, I got connected to the L2TP server on hk.vpnunlimitedapp.Com and the VPN router seems to be operating as intended but I am still unable to get any apps to work after connecting to the vpn.

I was able to get the N+ store to open but it won't DL anything. The tvpad store is down as well.

Is anyone else having the same issue? Any suggestions?

I have bought a lifetime subscription from VPN Unlimited and now need to purchase a VPN router to complete my setup. Is there a minimum specification for this?
  • padmanpadman Moderator
    edited December 2015
No, any router that supports vpn will work.

This one should work if you are tight on budget and be little adventurous
