Have anyone gotten TVPAD2 + PIA VPN to work? I'm using a 2nd router to connect via L2TP and I can confirm with whatmyip.com that my connection is in the desired country, but I still get an error when trying to run the Drama VoD app. I've tried vpn servers in Hong Kong and Singapore.

Do I still need to set a manual dns server in tvpad? Does PIA VPN provide dns servers through the VPN? It looks like I'm being assigned Google's dns servers: 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4.

The app I'm using on the tvpad 2 is:
    718392820.png
    ????
    v1.27
    377KB

I'm not sure if there is a newer version or an alternate app for hk drama vod. It was working until a few days ago.

The tvpad itself is at GVOS 3.94, which I think is the latest. The greenman is GREEN.

VPNgate and VPN Unlimited will not work on routers as they are OpenVPN based.

When connected to vpn, n+ does work. I even uninstalled the vod app and reinstalled it from the n+ store, but with the same results. The tvpad store doesn't work at all. Perhaps the issues with tvpad2 is more than something that vpn can fix.

Not all are OpenVPN based... If you go to the server list and check only L2TP/IPSec and then refresh server list, you will get the L2TP only list only. Otherwise look at the list and use only those with a checkmark under L2TP/IPSec column.

I am in San Francisco, CA with a TVPad2 running 3.94. TVPad store works, n++ doesn't work as I don't have a VPN working yet.

I finally got my VPN router setup with VPN Unlimited. Follow this guide https://www.vpnunlimitedapp.com/ddwrtsetup
You need to flash your router with dd-wrt, otherwise some settings may not show up. I had to still use the 49. Dns on my tvpad2 though. I am using the VPN unlimited app on my tvpad4 so no need to setup Dns on that.

You do need to send an email to VPN unlimited for them to send the openVPN files and your login info to the VPN servers.

What is the firmware version of your TVPad4? Mine is firmware 5.06 and the VPNunlimited Android app could not make a connection to any server.

It works, just find a Korean or Japanese server, they are super fast. But you have to disconnect and reconnect it from time to time.

I think the 49 DNS is the key for older TVPads. The TVPad 1 at my parents place is still working for both VOD and live stream.
